Ingredients
For the dough:
• 2 cups self-raising flour (or plain flour + 2 tsp baking powder)
• 1 cup high-protein Greek yoghurt
For the sauce:
• ½ cup passata
• ½ tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp Italian herbs
• Salt & pepper to taste
For the filling:
• ½ cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
• 100g nitrate-free ham, chopped
• Optional extras: sliced olives, capsicum, mushrooms, or fresh basil
Method
1. Preheat & Prepare
• Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
• Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Make the Dough
• In a bowl, combine the flour and Greek yoghurt.
• Mix with a spoon, then knead into a smooth dough (about 2–3 minutes).
• If the dough is sticky, add a little extra flour.
3. Prepare the Sauce
• In a small bowl, mix passata, garlic powder, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
4. Roll & Fill
• Lightly flour a surface and roll the dough into a rectangle (about 1cm thick).
• Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
• Sprinkle with cheese and nitrate-free ham (plus any extra toppings - I added some olives too).
5. Roll & Slice
• Carefully roll the dough into a log shape (like a Swiss roll).
• Slice into 8–10 scrolls and place them on the baking tray, cut side up.
6. Bake
• Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown.
• Let cool slightly before serving.
